Castleford will be illuminated this festive season with new Christmas lights across the town centre.
The brand new bespoke lights will be lighting up the town later this month alongside its traditional Christmas lights.
Wakefield Council has partnered up with local Castleford company, Really Useful Products, to give Castleford’s Christmas decorations a distinct new look.
Really Useful Products has invested £20k in the lights which include 3D butterflies, stars and presents, with the Council also contributing £21k. The lights are created from 48,000 LED mini bulbs and if joined end to end would cover nearly 5km.
