Arup Lighting worked a concept lighting design based on ideas from Populous architects, the renowned stadium and arena architectural practice.
There followed further development of the scheme, with the main contractor BAM electrical contractor Rotary and the client, that involved full scale mock ups for the dramatic facade.
Philips were awarded the project and LITE worked closely with Rotary to deliver the final complex installation and led the controls package which is such an important portion of the end project.
LITE then trained and guided the operator SMG to make full use of the dynamic lighting on the external façade.
The result is a stunning addition to the Leeds skyline winning many awards and importantly regeneration this area of the city attracting new investment in hotels and other infrastructure.
